The TK Starlite Drive-In Movie Theatre opened in Neligh, Nebraska in 1952 with "Cripple Creek", starring George Montgomery. Now it is the oldest and one of only two remaining drive-ins in Nebraska. It operates seasonally from April through September, showing new releases and double features on weekends. The 5+ acre theater accommodates about three hundred vehicles, uses digital projection, and broadcasts sound via 89.9 FM. Movie-goers come from miles around; the lot is full on the weekends. Customers enjoy the fun, vintage experience of driving up to a spot and settling in to enjoy a movie right there in their car, and love classic concessions like burgers, nachos, popcorn, and candy from the 1,020 square foot concession stand constructed in 2023.
